I'm Stuart Moyes.

I am an award-winning multimedia journalist and content creator with a broad skill-set across print, audio, video and digital platforms. 

With experience in newsroom and press office environments, I bring a strong command of storytelling and communication to every project.

• Produced and presented international affairs podcast Globe Unpacked, for which I won “Best Use of Multimedia” at The Herald 2024 Student Press Awards.
• Produced short documentary on Moldova’s 2024 presidential election and EU referendum, which involved travelling to Chișinău and interviewing politicians, non-profit organisations and members of the public.
• Achieved MA Journalism qualification with Distinction at Edinburgh Napier University. The course included training in news writing, radio/TV news production and media law.
• Led a campaign to promote the Samaritans in Staffordshire over the Christmas period, resulting in high social media engagement with the public and dozens of businesses, organisations and county landmarks supporting the campaign.

Moldova: A Nation at a Crossroads

On 20th October 2024, Moldova voted for their next president for the next four years and on membership into the European Union.

Stuart travelled to Chișinău, Moldova’s capital city, to produce a short documentary on the stakes and challenges of the then-upcoming votes as the country found itself caught in a tug-of-war between Russia and the EU and feeling the heat of the Ukraine War from across its eastern border.

2024: The International Elections So Far

While we are acutely aware of the domestic election that has heralded a new political age for the United Kingdom, as well as the continent-wide EU elections that saw a sweep of the far-right into European Parliament, there are many elections across the globe – from the distant to the under-covered – that you may have missed.

Globe Unpacked

The international affairs podcast which won 'Best Use of Multimedia' at The Herald 2024 Student Press Awards, covering the much covered and less covered news from around the world. This episode focuses on COP28, Sudan's civil war and the return of tensions between the Koreas. 

Democratia Radio

Produced as part of an international elections multimedia website, Democratia Radio is a short-form podcast including interviews and analysis. This episode investigated whether or not Britain avoided the surge of global populism that much of the world saw in 2024.
